Those two systems build a fuel map while you ride, but won't apply the changes without you connecting the fuel controller to your computer and manually applying the changes. Plug in the Maximus device to the computer with one end via USB cable and plug in the other side to the motorcycles diagnostic connector via 4PIN/6PIN cable. Unplug it and start the bike to see if you get a fault code. Maximus will lock to the first motorcycle ECU it is used on and will permit continued programming of that motorcycle ECU. I took mine off and plated it just to take the unnecessary parts off the bike. With a Power Commander or Bazzaz unit, you can add a secondary module to autotune, but they don't make the corrections dynamically while you ride. With most flashs the pair system is eliminated by keeping it closed. If you make changes to your hardware, ie air filter or change to a different exhaust, the Rapid Bike system will detect the changes and adjust the fueling as necessary. I really like this setup as it's constantly self tuning for an ideal air/fuel ratio. The Rapid Bike system reads the o2 sensors to make corrections to the fueling in real time as you ride. Most recently on my '15 bike, I chose the Rapid Bike Evo system w/full Akra exhaust. On my 2010 RR I had a Brentuning flash and the bike's performance was increased substantially even compared to the Power Commander with a custom map. A custom tune on the Power Commander was even better. I've used a Power Commander with Dynojet's generic map for the specific exhaust and that was much better than the exhaust alone.

I've run full systems on these bikes with no other changes made and had no issues. Midrange will likely suffer to some extent. You can go to a full system without worry of failure, but the performance won't be improved as much as the sound is simply changed. You'll probably be told to do a search for this topic, because the same question has been asked countless times.
